CheepieceThe Pelham has attachments for two reins, one near the mouthpiece and one at the end of the shank. Some riders, may prefer to use rein connectors. The Pelham shank will exert moderate poll pressure and leverage on the mouthpiece and curb.The cheekpiece is available in 2 sizes, standard and a slightly smaller model for a pony. The standard size Pelham has 2 length shanks. The longer shank allows for more hand movement and slows the leveraging of the pressure points.MouthpieceThe central barrel allows for a separation of reins aids, enabling a fine tuning of communication. The limited movement of the barrel allows the port to adjust to fit a wide range of mouth configurations.
